Mexico - 2000

In April 2000, Easter was late and ran into Anzac Day and so the school holidays were 18 days long.
It was a good time to go to southern California. We flew to Sydney and then to Los Angeles and on to San Francisco.
After viewing the sights of San Francisco and the Monterey Peninsular we went by train and bus to Yosemite National Park.
Back to San Francisco and then a flight to San Deigo.
Following San Diego and a short visit to Mexico we caught the Greyhound bus to Anaheim.
After Disneyland and the Los Angeles sights it was a 15+ hour direct flight back home to Melbourne.

Tijuana

From the Birch aquarium in San Diego we caught a taxi to the Mexican border. We walked through these gates into Mexico and caught a taxi to the Revolution district of Tijuana.

There were lots of pharmacies, hospitals and dentists ... much cheaper than the USA. Also lots of leather, gold and silver shops.
