After the Ottoman era ended
in 1687, Pecs has developed as a university and cultural city.
Located near the Croatian border, it is the fifth largest city in
Hungary.

Once an Ottoman mosque, this building is now a Christian
church.
It is said to be the only Christian church that has an Islamic crescent
on top.
