Bursa - 2002

Finished in 1424 under the orders of Mehmet1, Yesil Mosque in Bursa represents a turning point in Turkish architectural style.
Before this, Turkish mosques echoed the style of the Great Seljuks which was basically Persian, but in Yesil Camii apurely Turkish style emerges.

Thermal springs in the Bursa area have been exploited since before Roman times.
Our room in the hotel, the Kervansaray Termal, had a balcony that looked across a tiled courtyard to a renovated Turkish Bath House (the famous Eski Kaplica).
It was a very smart hotel. The best on the Turkey tour. a very cleverly designed hotel.

From Bursa we returned to Istanbul and flew home via Dubai and Singapore.
