In July-August-Septmber 2016 we had a 7-week
European trip.
Melbourne - Dubai – Paris – Western Front Battle
Areas in
France and Belgium – Portugal – England
– Wales
– Scotland - Dubai - Melbourne
We stopped over in Dubai on the way to Paris and on the way home from
London.
The 13½ hour flight from Melbo arrived in Dubai at
6:30am.
We had breakfast at our hotel and then a good sleep.
After afternoon tea we walked to nearby Union Station and caught a
train to Dubai Mall station.
It was a long walk from the station to the mall although there were
some
long powered walkways.
At the adjacent Burj Khalifa (the highest building in the world), they
have an excellent dancing fountain display set to music.
At our Hotel in Dubai, the Radisson Blu Hotel at Deira Creek.

Museum
Dubai Museum is a small museum housed in the original fort of the
settlement of Dubai.
It is the oldest building in Dubai and most of the rooms are
underground.
On the
Emirates A380 plane en-route from Dubai to Paris. It was a 6¾ hour
flight.
On on our way home from London we spent a leisurely 2 nights in Dubai
before the 12¼-hour Emirates A380 flight to Melbourne.
Another fine 7-week holiday.
