Kenya - 2008
Nairobi
After 3 nights in Johannesburg I had a 4-hour flight to
Nairobi
in Kenya.
Traffic on the road from the airport to the hotel on the edge of the
city was chaotic.
On a poor quality, single-laned road, it took a long time.
There was about 5 lanes of traffic continually
trying to merge.
Despite being located almost on the Equator, the temperature in Nairobi
was pleasant
as the city has an altitude of 1700 metres.
The hotel, The
Kivi Milimani, although being in need of
renovation, was located in pleasant gardens.
About an hour from Nairobi we stopped to look over The Great Rift Valley
