Hwange National Park - Zimbabwe - 2009

Hwange National Park is largest game reserve in Zimbabwe.
The population of African wild dogs to be found in Hwange is one of the largest surviving groups in Africa today.
Because it is a large park we saw few animals in the small part of the park that we visited.

We stayed at Ivory Lodge.
Rather than camp we paid $US20 to stay in one of their open sided. en-suite, stilted huts.
All of them had a view of the flood-lit waterhole.
