Biajaipur village "jeep
safari"
From the tent camp at Pannagarh we travelled in jeeps to
Bijaipur Castle,
stopping off to visit villages and farms along the way.
Animals and tractors were painted and decorated for the Diwali festival.
???
Good looking soil and healthy crops.
Australian eucalypts thrive here.
Graves ... a rare sight in India.
For centuries the local tribes in this area have buried the ashes of
the dead in graves.
Male and female.
Bijaipur Castle and village
Built in the sixteenth century, and set in lovely gardens, we
had a very pleasant night here.
The modern bedrooms were very spacious.
Meals were provided here, and for dinner we had a very interesting meal.
Each stir-fry was individually
cooked for
you in a very hot wok, after you
selected your meat and vegetables.
We even had a "hit and giggle" cricket match here.
A welcoming drink, marigold leis and vermillion dots.
And a small band too.
From Bijaipur Castle we had a 4-hour drive to Udaipur.
We actually averaged 80kph on this dual-lane highway.
Australian eucalypts at this truck stop on the way.
