We went on a tour of a spice garden ... Abrahams ... he and his garden featured on the BBC series Around the world in 80 gardens.
Very similar to the spice gardens that I visited on Zanzibar Island in Tanzania.
Cocoa pods which house cocoa beans.

The owner, Mr Abraham and his wife put on dinner for us with typical dishes from Kerala.
We had rice, boiled beans, chicken curry, fish curry and tapioca, all of which we ate with our fingers off a palm leaf.
For sweets we squashed and mixed up special rice, yoghurt, banana and sugar with our fingers.
