Knock   -   Ireland   -   2014

Knock is a village in the northern part of Ireland famous for the Marian Shrine.

The Marian Shrine
On the evening of 21 August 1879, at about 8 o'clock in the evening, 15 people, whose ages ranged from 5 years to 75 and included men,
women, teenagers and children, witnessed what they claimed was an apparition of Our Lady, Saint Joseph, and Saint John the Evangelist
at the south gable end of this small parish church in Knock, the Church of Saint John the Baptist.

Nearby there is a new, large basilica, Our Lady Queen of Ireland.  It was completed in 1967.
