Carrick-on-Shannon River cruise - 2014

The Shannon River is the longest river in Ireland  (360km).
It flows into an estuary and into the Atlantic Ocean.

We had a Devonshire tea on board.

Longford
We by-passed Longford town in County Longford in north-central Ireland on the way back to Dublin.
I would have liked to have seen the town as my grandmother lived at Longford near Sale in Australia.

We travelled back to Dublin.
The end of a comprehensive 10-day tour of Ireland.
We spent a night in Dublin before we flew to Amsterdam for our Rhine-Danube River cruise.
