We cruised through a small part of Croatia on our 48-day Melbourne – Dubai – Dublin – Ireland – Amsterdam –
Rhine-Main-Danube River cruise – Istanbul – Dubai - Melbourne trip in June 2014.
We only spent half a day in Croatia.
On day 22 of our 27-day Rhine-Danube River cruise we left Hungary and docked at Vukovar and were able to have a look around.
Vukovar

Vukovar was badly damaged during the 87-day siege in 1991.
The Battle of Vukovar was part of the Croatian War of Independence.
Croatia wished to leave Yugoslavia and to become an indepenent country.
After our visit to Vukovar we cruised further down the Danube River into Serbia.
